The Strange Mechanism of Grief- part two

If you've lost a beloved companion, you know that eventually you move on- mostly- or try to move past it. But when you least expect it, all that memory comes flooding back and holds you in its grip and takes your breath away for a beat too long. You're powerless to do anything but pay respect for a moment and acknowledge that the scar on your heart is a badge of honor.
