Taking responsibility

Recently, Mr. Roche from iFractal, posted We Need More Line 10 on his excellent site KnowHR. It's a brief essay that's stayed with me. I'll wait here while you go read it.

In conclusion he said that "Line 10 is about noticing. It’s about being aware." I heartily agree, but isn't this the way things should be? I recall this is one of the clear messages I had gotten from my parents. Line 10 is at its heart an old school code of honor, part of the social contract, an important tick mark on the measure of a person's mettle.

I have a feeling Mr. Roche would agree with this.

[Loved the easter egg, Frank!]

yep, but in the world of business/
'null and void the preceeding 9', it's a loophole for 'the man's' thumb, and a union's awareness for dotted Ts and very crossed eyes

I made a mistake saying Lines 1-9 are null and void...what I meant to say what 1-9 you have to do all the time...but you have to do Line 10, too. It's, as you say, a social contract.
