Simplify, simplify

A few months ago, Om Malik's heart attack shook the timbers of the net community. In his recovery phase, Mr. Malik, now a senior writer for Business 2.0 magazine in San Francisco, continues to write about technology and his experience. Recently he wrote about simplification through elimination, and drew on the concept of letting go, the Macbook Air, the importance of cardiac checkups, and acknowledging the reality of stress.

Thanks, Mr. Malik- and here's to your continued health!

Must exhort people to follow this advice. Regular checkups just saved a friend's dad's life.

He's a diabetic workaholic, felt a little "flutter," which after follow-up, turned out to be 3 blocked arteries, fixed by emergency triple bypass surgery.

He's doing fine, but he could just as well have dropped dead if he didn't pay attention to some very subtle signs.
