Taking stock of the situation

I've never micro-analyzed life as much as I have in the last few months and I see no end to this. I'd say, sorry folks, you'll be hearing more about all this... but the topics seem to be similar to those my friends are experiencing. I'll talk more about this and I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Other things I've been mulling:
—  a social contract, how it's been violated, and how it needs to be revisited thanks to our complete and utter 24-hour availability
—  an international signal that should be created to politely describe when enough is enough, and by that I mean, in bed
—  a good friend's inability to catch a fucking break, which might actually involve a diagram
—  music as a powerful part of any serious personal change
—  ethical questions that surround relationship honesty and good hygiene and informed table manners
—  no doubt, more new media hijinks
—  life among the socnet kingpins and prophets: a microcosm of the socnets themselves?
—  the politics of steak tartare, which is not a euphemism
—  if you hold a mirror up to a mirror, do you really see anything at all?

Oh yeah. We're going deep, people.

The analysis doesn't sound like it will be 100% fun, but I'm with ya.

Re: "a good friend's inability to catch a fucking break, which might actually involve a diagram:" I've got a friend like that. Married couple, actually. Just as he's sorta getting on his feet, she gets laid off. The one blessing is that their 6-month old baby daughter is happy and healthy.
