The new Congress enacted its first piece of legislation and passed a national security bill, implementing some of the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.
The stunning news of this story is that the vote was 299-128 which is a resounding vote for bi-partisan sanity. [However it leads one to query just what rocket scientist would vote against it.] At any rate, a most excellent start.
